Very soon after Albert Toll died, his surviving
children sold the company to one of Tolls biggest customers,
National Minerals.Limited.
Toll then entered a new phase when National Minerals Limited
was itself taken over by the mining conglomerate Peko Wallsend
Limited.
Pioneered the bulk cartage and shipping loading of rutile
and other beach minerals, and moved into container packing,
storage and transport. Merged with H H Chadwick & Sons
of Newcastle to become Toll Chadwick.
